Helicopter Spirals Wildly into Palm Trees at Popular Southern California Coast

A helicopter flying over a popular California beach suddenly started spinning wildly, ultimately dropping height and plunging into a row of palm fronds as beachgoers looked on.

Recordings uploaded online show the aircraft beginning to twirl above the shoreline then descending towards the edge of the beach, where it gets stuck between palms and a set of stairs adjacent to the shoreline route.

First Aid Details

Emergency responders stated five persons were taken to hospital comprising two individuals who were in the chopper and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” subsequent to the accident on Saturday.

Three people on the road were hurt. Information on their injuries were still under review.

What led to the incident was not yet disclosed.
