When it comes to choosing a smartwatch, battery life is one of the most critical factors users consider. The DT68 smartwatch has gained attention in the budget-friendly wearable segment, not only for its sleek design and multiple features but also for its promising battery life claims DT68. In this review, we put those claims to the test and present real-world results based on everyday usage.

The DT68 smartwatch is marketed as offering up to 5 to 7 days of battery life on a single charge under normal usage. This figure may vary depending on how intensively the device is used and what features are active throughout the day. To evaluate these claims, we tested the DT68 under several usage scenarios including fitness tracking, sleep monitoring, message notifications, and periodic heart rate checks.

Upon full charge, the smartwatch took around two hours to reach 100 percent. Starting at full battery, we began our test with a typical user profile in mind. This included keeping Bluetooth connected during the day for notifications, enabling real-time heart rate monitoring, tracking two fitness sessions per day, and wearing the watch overnight for sleep monitoring. In this configuration, the DT68 lasted approximately 4.5 days before needing a recharge. While it did not hit the 7-day mark, it still performed respectably considering the heavy usage.

For a lighter usage scenario, we disabled continuous heart rate tracking and used the watch mostly for time display and occasional notifications. With this setup, the DT68 smartwatch stretched battery life to just over 6 days, which aligns well with its advertised performance. This test confirms that the battery endurance can be maximized if you adjust features based on necessity.

An interesting observation during the test was the battery drop during workout sessions. Tracking a 30-minute run with GPS on a paired smartphone and heart rate monitoring active led to a noticeable drop of around 8 percent. This suggests that frequent workouts combined with real-time sensors do consume a good chunk of battery life. However, it’s a trade-off users may be willing to make for accurate health tracking.

The smartwatch also supports power-saving modes. Enabling power-saving limited the smartwatch’s functionality but effectively extended the battery life beyond 7 days. This mode is ideal for users who travel or have limited charging access but still need a functional watch.

Overall, the DT68 smartwatch offers impressive battery efficiency for its price range. While it may not deliver 7 full days under heavy usage, it easily exceeds 4 days in real-world conditions with all features turned on. For casual users, a once-a-week charging routine is entirely achievable. The battery performance, combined with the DT68’s health and fitness features, makes it a strong contender in the affordable smartwatch category.
